How Forsive works with your files, credits, and privacy.
What can Forsive actually do with my files?
Point it at one or more folders on your PC. In one conversation it can read, search, organise into folders, edit, and create files. Supported today: Word (.docx), PDF (read as text; you can write the PDF content to a Word file), Excel (.xlsx, cell values only), and common text files (.txt, .md, .csv, .json, .html, and similar). Edits always save as a new file. Works with Gemini today. Claude and ChatGPT will be added later.
Will it overwrite my original documents?
No. The original stays. The result is a new file next to it.
Do my files leave my computer?
Your folders stay on your machine. Forsive does not upload your whole workspace. When you ask it to work on a file, that request (and the content it needs for that turn) goes through Forsive's relay to Google Gemini, then the reply comes back. Chat history stays local. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Does Google train on my documents?
Forsive uses Google's paid Gemini API. Under Google's current terms for that API, submitted content is not used to train their models. Google's terms can change; the Privacy Policy is the detailed version.
How do credits work? Do they expire?
No subscription. You spend credits per task. They never expire. Every new setup starts with 20 free credits after you confirm your email (once per email, no card). Buy more from inside the app when you run out.
Do I need an account?
No login and no password. Download is free. First run asks for an email so the free credits and your balance can follow you to another PC.
Does it run on Mac or in the browser?
Windows desktop only for now. macOS is coming soon. It is not a website or a phone app.
